  • Marvin Steele

    PRESIDENT & CEO

    Marvin Steele is the President and CEO of the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce. He has a commitment to the betterment of Black Owned Businesses in and around the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area. As well, Marvin is the Founder and Manager of Urban Testing Labs, a clinical diagnostic laboratory. His corporate experience began in the early 1970s working with Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA). He began as sales engineer and quickly progressed to managing accounts totaling over $40 million in sales.

  • Patrick Smith

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Patrick Smith Sr. is the Vice President of HBC STL. He is responsible for the oversight and support of all electric and natural gas field operations at Ameren Illinois. With over 37 years with Ameren & sitting on several boards and committees including the United Way, College Bound STL & the American Cancer Society. He is a native of East St. Louis & active in the community and passionate about youth sports.

  • Damion S. Jones

    CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

    Damion Jones is Chairman of the Board for HBCSTL. He is also the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion for Bayer Company. He also sits on the board of The Biome, a Youth Learning Center STEAM charter school. He currently resides in St. Louis Missouri with his wife Marvis, sons Simon and Aiden and daughter Genesis.

  • Alex Funny

    EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

    Alex Fennoy is the Executive Vice President at HBC STL. With nearly 25 years of commercial banking experience, he joined Midwest BankCentre in 2010. He co-chaired the St. Louis Unbanked Tax Force, served on the boards of Better Family Life, Northside Community Housing, the Metro St. Louis Coalition for Inclusion & Equity, the Center for the Acceleration of African American Business and the Jackie Joyner- Kerse center.
