  • MR. MARVIN J. STEELE, SR.

    CEO & FOUNDER

    Marvin Steele is the President and CEO of the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce. He has a commitment to the betterment of Black Owned Businesses in and around the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

    Marvin is the Founder and Manager of Urban Testing Labs, a clinical diagnostic laboratory. His corporate experience began in the early 1970s working with Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA). He began as sales engineer and quickly progressed to managing accounts totaling over $40 million in sales.

  • MR. DENALE A. POWELL

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    Denale brings over 20 years of entrepreneurship experience to the Chamber. Denale holds over 20 years of professional marketing, graphic design, web design, sales and business development experience, including owning www.mrnetworksays.com, and www.theautomotivebrain.com. Prior to beginning at Harris-Stowe, Powell worked for several Fortune 500 companies including The MAY Company, Enterprise Rent-a-car, and KSDK News Channel 5, gaining very valuable experience in the corporate world of marketing communications, management, and new progressive media platforms.

    Powell's specialties include: networking, graphic design, web design, illustration, internet marketing, SEO, mobile marketing, prospecting, business development, viral marketing, affiliate marketing, brand development, brand and identity management, contract negotiation, multi-faceted marketing plan development and implementation, art direction, marketing research, public speaking and year-long community relations campaigns that engage staff to connect with the community.

    Serving his community is important to him and it shows through his organizations and affiliations. Powell is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, 100 Black Men of St. Louis, where he serves as social media chair, the National African-American Insurance Agency, Better Family Life Economic Empowerment Chair and Black in Tech.

    He served as a board member with the Board Member Health Literacy Ministry since 2013 and the Legacy Institute Non-for-Profit, founded in 2020. He is also a licensed insurance broker.


  • DR. DWIGHT BAILEY

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT

    As the Development Officer, at the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Dwight Bailey is responsible for overseeing the capital campaign efforts and initiatives to increase members. Duties include leading a team of membership development professionals and sales associates. In addition, Dr. Bailey plans and coordinates events that generate funding for programs delivered by the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce.

  • MS. LYNDA ANDERSON

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO | CHIEF OPERATING ADMINISTRATOR

    Ms. Lynda Anderson is a native of Saint Louis, Missouri. Currently living and working

    alongside community leaders. Ms. Anderson completed her education at Lindenwood

    University, Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications, and Master of Business

    Administration, focus on Management. She has over 25+ years of corporate experience

    and 10+ years as a private business owner. Ms. Anderson’s area of concentration is

    Coaching and Counseling new business owners.
